ten reasons why you have to see water:
1. it is beautifully filmed, the colours and sounds burst from the screen
2. it is full of gorgeous symbolism - they live by the water, bathe in it, use it for their rituals, and drink it - and yet it is the water that they have to cross to "the bad side" and when you die you are cremated and set adrift across it.
3. it will put all of your meaningless problems in perspective
4. it made me think about the dichotomy between feminism and religion
5. you will learn something about indian culture and religion
6. you will learn something about gandi and indian history
7. there is some good acting, and the dialouge is not really all that contrived.
8. Narayan is well handsome, Chuyia is cute, Didi is a great actress and Kaylani is just beautiful
9. the ending is structured in such a way that you can allow yourself to believe whatever you want
10. it is funny at times and sad at times, just like life, really
