ten things I did this labour weekend
1. drove to napier (and back) in the shittiest weather you could imagine playing everything from pet shop boys to acdc via burning spear and t rex.
2. had the best falafel kebab I can remember - and i've had an awful lot of falafel kebabs in my time
3. had to deal with the fall out from my boss’s absolute incompetence and slackness via mobile phone 350kms from the office which threatened to ruin my whole weekend (but it didn't)
4. found six hardback noddy books for mum which i paid through the fucking nose for
5. got tanned during two brilliantly sunny days.
6. read Erica Jong’s how to save your own life, the sequel to fear of flying
7. played 500, which I haven’t played since uni
8. fell in love with famke janssen all over again
9. drank quite a bit of red wine
10. went to the Te Mata Cheese Factory (mother of god, I love cheese)
